
The Royal Spanish Golf Federation has approved the awarding of the Gold Medal for Merit in Golf to Pedro Morán, one of the most renowned golf club managers in Spain, who has been carrying out a very important work since 2000 at the historic Real Club de Golf de la Puerta de Hierro, with a very broad dedication in the sporting field ranging from children to professionals.
Linked throughout his life to golf, he previously contributed his knowledge in a number of institutions, such as the Association of Golf Professionals, RCG Sotogrande, RCG Las Brisas, San Roque Club, Torrequebrada or the Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo. In the federative field, Pedro Morán has held various positions of responsibility from the mid 70’s to the early 90’s in the Central Federation, the RFEG and the RFGA, where he was Vice President between 1984 and 1990.
Pedro Morán is one of the four Gold Medals, one Silver Medal and two Plaques of Merit in Golf awarded this year by the RFEG in recognition of various relevant actions in all sectors of the sport.
