Pimentel wins the Andalusian Pitch & Putt Championship for Men

The player of Marbella Golf & Country Club, Antonio Pimentel, has won the Andalusian Men’s Pitch & Putt Championship, hosted by the Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf School and played 36 holes stroke play over two consecutive days, at a rate of 18 holes per day.

Antonio Pimentel finished the first day with 55 strokes, only one more than Javier Quero -who was leading the classification- and during the second round he delivered a card of 58 for a total of 113, which earned him the victory. The second place, with one more stroke, went to the player from Benalmádena Golf, Daniel Casas.

Moving on to the handicap classifications, Pablo Rodríguez, also a Benalmádena Golf player, was the first classified in the first category with 113 net strokes. He was followed by Bil Bil Golf’s Javier Quero with 114.

As for the second category, Juan Soler (El Candado) was the winner with 107 net strokes, 3 strokes ahead of Javier Perez, from the Real Club de Campo de Malaga.

The awards ceremony was attended by Pablo Mansilla, President of the Pitch & Putt Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Carlos Ramón de Fata, member of the same Committee; Alfonso Barrionuevo, chief referee of the tournament; and Fernando Jiménez, Head of the Sports Area of the MAJ Golf School.
