The magnificent course of thePlaya Serena Golf Club , next to the beach in the Almeria municipality of Roquetas de Mar, has been the setting for the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit, which this year celebrates its eleventh edition and has as its grand final prize five one-week trips to the Riviera Maya, in Mexico, including flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf at three of the best courses in the Caribbean: PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleón Mayacoba and Playa Paraíso.
A strong wind that began to pick up mid-morning meant that the players had to work hard to try to get a good result on the course created by Peter Allis and Ángel Gallardo. It is worth mentioning the work carried out by the club’s director, Francisco Javier Martín Mendoza, and all his team, who were very committed to the tournament and made the day especially pleasant for all the participants.
After the competition, the players enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the clubhouse, prior to the awards ceremony and raffle of gifts.
In terms of sporting results, in the first category, the first three classified were Alberto Rubio Daza (35 points), Cecilio Martínez Siles (34) and Valentín Montes Tijeras (32).
The top three in the second category, who finished with the same points, were Ana María López Moya (35 points), Diego Salas Caparrós (34) and Jose María Lara del Amo (34).
The scratch winner in Los Arqueros was Darío Sánchez Morales, with 32 scratch points.
The special prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Andrea Holubova, and the prize for the longest drive to Luis Navarro.

As in the previous two years, this open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf/España Golf has as a prize for the final five trips to the Caribbean by the hand of Grupo Piñero. Apart from the prizes of each competition, the first classified in each category plus the scratch winner of each tournament get a direct place to play the grand final of the circuit at the Marbella Golf Resort on October 2, with closing dinner of the circuit at the restaurant El Gamonal in Marbella and thus opt for one of the five trips to Riviera Maya for a week. The remaining places for the final game are obtained based on a ranking based on the points obtained in the tournaments played.
The trip to Riviera Maya is scheduled from November 6 to 14 of this year. On Saturday 6th the PGA Riviera Maya will be played, on Sunday 7th Mayakoba will be visited to watch the last day of the Mayakoba Golf Classic, a PGA Tour event, on Monday 8th Playa Paraiso will be played, Tuesday 9th will be free, on Wednesday 10th Mayakoba El Camaleón will be played (three days after the PGA Tour professionals have competed), Thursday 11th will be free and on Friday 12th the PGA Riviera Maya will be played and in the evening the flight back to Spain will be taken.

PGA RIVIERA MAYA BAHIA PRINCIPE DESTINATION
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya (Luxury Akumal hotel) with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba, and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on October 2 at Marbella Club Golf Resort, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
