R.C. Sevilla Golf wins the 2017 Andalusian Interclub Men’s Championship at home.

Local teams have triumphed in the Andalusian Interclub Men’s Championship 2017, which was held this weekend -Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June- at the Real Club Sevilla Golf.

Thus, the victory in the scratch category went to the team formed by Pablo Rodríguez-Tabernero – who is currently pursuing his university career in the United States, at Kennesaw State University (Georgia) -, Javier Rodríguez-Tabernero, Pelayo Vilallonga and Francisco Bolaños. Real Club Sevilla Golf has won its first victory in the competition, which has been played uninterruptedly since 1980.

The winners finished yesterday’s first day – played over eighteen holes under foursome modality – in second position with a cumulative 153 strokes, and with only one stroke difference with respect to the combination formed by Pablo Heredia Iglesias, Nacho Puente, Darren Chang and Jesús Pulido, who led the classification at the end of the first round.

During this second day -played under individual scratch mode-, the two excellent rounds of 67 strokes (-5), signed by Javier Rodríguez-Tabernero and Pelayo Vilallonga, together with  the 75 strokes of Pablo Rodríguez-Tabernero, have given the victory to the Real Club Sevilla Golf D team, with a final score of 362 strokes.

For their part, Pablo Heredia Iglesias, Nacho Puente, Darren Chang and Jesús Pulido, have collected the prize for the first classified in the handicap category with 360 net strokes.

After the competition, the awards ceremony was presided over by Santiago Urquijo, Vice President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Luis Miguel Martínez, Provincial Delegate of the RFGA in Seville; José Ángel Domínguez, President of the Competition Committee of the Real Club Sevilla Golf; and Francisco Jordano, Referee of the event.
