RCG Guadalmina wins its third Andalusian Men’s Interclub of Andalucía

The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has won its third title in the Andalusian Interclubs Men’s Championship, which was held this weekend at the Real Club de Campo de Córdoba.

The team formed by Antonio Cruz-Conde, Casto Gómez, Juan Krauel and Francisco José Castaño has been proclaimed Champion of Andalusia with a cumulative total of 402 strokes. The Guadalmina players finished yesterday the first day -played under foursome modality- with 164 strokes.

During the second round, which was played in individual modality, the team of the Real Club de Campo de Córdoba, formed by Alejandro Vaughan, Luis Cristóbal Valdelomar, Pelayo Jiménez and Bartolomé Abad, who also won the first handicap category, were seven strokes ahead of the second-placed team.

For their part, local players Rafael Rodríguez, Juan de Dios Benítez, David López and Rafael Perales, also won the second scratch category.

In addition, the Real Club de Campo de Córdoba won the second handicap category thanks to the results obtained by Rafael Navas, José María Alberti, Gabriel Miguel Álvarez and José Luis Ostos.

After the day’s competition, the awards ceremony took place, with the participation of Milagros Luque (Provincial Delegate of Córdoba of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation), Manuel Villagrán (Director of the Real Club de Campo de Córdoba), Fernando Pacheco (Vocal of the RFGA Men’s Technical Committee) and Diego Molina (Chief Referee of the Championship).

The first edition of the Men’s Interclub Championship was held in 1980 and its list of winners includes Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and Club de Golf La Cañada as the most successful clubs, with nine victories each.
