For the sixth consecutive year Andalucía Golf / España Golf organizes the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit, which is disputed from summer in large courses on the Costa del Sol. This Circuit gathers, due to the courses where it is played and the important prizes it is endowed with, numerous amateurs of very different nationalities: Spanish, British, Nordic, German, Russian, etc.
After five years, the Circuit has been consolidated and generates a great expectation among the players, among other things because of the magnificent prizes: TomTom Golfer GPS watches, golf clothes of the best brands, golf equipment, etc. Each participant will also receive a bottle of wine.
The courses where the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2016 will be played are the following: Finca Cortesin on July 23; Flamingos on July 30, San Roque Old on August 19 and Guadalmina Sur on December 3 .
All of them are magnificent courses and most of them have hosted European Tour events. Finca Cortesín has hosted three years the Volvo World Match Play Championship; San Roque Old has hosted the Spanish Open; Flamingos has hosted the European Senior Tour; at Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, designed by Javier Arana, the best Spanish golf architect of all time, the best amateurs in Europe have competed on several occasions. All these courses stand out for their enormous quality of design, maintenance and services. They are classics of Andalusian golf.
The format of play is individual Stableford, in two categories:
1st Category: 0 to 14.4 – 2nd Category: 14.5 to 28
In addition to the above mentioned gifts, the registration fee includes a cocktail/lunch for the awarding of prizes and trophies, as well as a raffle of gifts. It is possible to participate in the Circuit without having to play all the events, that is to say, you can register in one or more tournaments.
The sponsors of the Circuit are Tom Tom, Fairway+Blue, Holiday Golf, Ikasa and Bodegas Domecq. Cadena SER Marbella Costa del Sol is the official broadcaster of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2016.
