Resounding success of the Andalucia Golf Challenge in La Reserva

As expected given the category of one of the best golf courses in Spain, La Reserva de Sotogrande, there were quite a few golfers who could not participate in the Andalucía Golf Challenge because the available places were quickly exhausted. The high quality of the course and its extraordinary presentation dazzled the players of the last summer event of the V Andalucía Golf Challenge, who dedicated great praise to this prestigious course, the work of one of the prestigious designer Cabell B. Robinson, disciple of the great Robert Trent Jones.

The fourth event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2015 Circuit brought together a hundred players, who took part in this open competition promoted by this publication.

The awards ceremony, in the majestic clubhouse of La Reserva de Sotogrande, where an exquisite paella was served, was presided over by the editors of Andalucía Golf, Antonio Sánchez and Stefan Tjellander, the director of the host club, Juan Álvarez, and the executive of fairway+blue, Gabriela Jones.

As regards the sporting results, in the first category, the victory went to Pedro Miguel Cevey Mendoza, with 39 points. Second place, with the same score, went to Manuel Mendizábal Larrinaga, and third place, with 38 points, to Nicholas Frank Otter.

In the second category, Robert-Serge Manuello won with 51 points, followed by Daniell Franchino Giraudet with 49 and Guillermo de Grosso Degola with 43.

The special prizes for the longest drive went to Guillermo Hombravella and Carmen Maldonado, and the prize for the ball closest to the flag also went to Guillermo Hombravella.

The Andalucía Golf Challenge 2015 has been played at Río Real, Finca Cortesín, San Roque Club and La Reserva, four of the best golf courses in Spain.
