Such was the success of the event that many were unable to play the tournament because the quota of participants had been completed. The second event of the summer tournaments of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit 2013 took place in a great sporting atmosphere in one of the most important golf courses on the Costa del Sol, and by extension throughout Spain: Río Real.
This Marbella course designed by the prestigious Spanish designer Javier Arana amazed the participants who did not know it for its quality and excellent maintenance, and the weather also accompanied the smooth running of the tournament. The competition brought together a varied representation of nationalities, who greatly enjoyed the sports day.
As for the winners, in the first category, Timothy Long won with 36 points, one less than the second and third classified, Thomas Jivung and Manuel Aceña Gracián, respectively. In the second category, Adrián Rebollo Aguilar won with 37 points, second was Barbara Völkel, with the same score, and in third place was Susana Espejo Corral, with 36 points.
The awards ceremony, at the Río Real clubhouse, where a magnificent cocktail was served, was presided over by the editor of Andalucía Golf, Antonio Sánchez.
The tournament stood out, apart from the setting of the competition, for the quality of the prizes, which included, among other things, flights to Turkey with Turkish Airlines, golf equipment of prestigious brands and wines from the D.O. Somontano.
