The Rio Real course, a spectacular design by Javier Arana in cosmopolitan Marbella, once again aroused the interest of the fans, and such was the success of the event that many were unable to play the competition because the quota of participants had been completed. This event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2015 summer tournaments took place in a great sporting atmosphere in one of the most important golf courses on the Costa del Sol, and by extension throughout Spain.
This Marbella course, directed with great skill by Luis Navarro, amazed the participants who did not know it for its quality and magnificent maintenance, and the weather also accompanied the smooth running of the tournament. The competition brought together a varied representation of nationalities, who greatly enjoyed the sports day.
As for the winners, the first category was won by Pedro Antonio Corral P, with 38 points, one less than the second classified, José Andrés Torres Cabral. Third place, with 34 points, went to Miguel Navarro Álvarez. In the second category, Ignacio Redondo Pérez won with 45 points, second was Rocío García-Aranda Pez, with 38, and third, with the same score, was Esteban Rodríguez Sevillano.
The prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Patricio Chinarro Pérez; the prize for the longest drive for ladies went to María José Olver Benedicto; the prize for gentlemen went to Luis Javier López Pérez, and the special prize for the best classified lady went to Antonia Silva Díaz.
The awards ceremony, at the Río Real clubhouse, where a magnificent cocktail was served, was presided over by Antonio Sánchez, editor of Andalucía Golf, and Luis Navarro.
The tournament stood out, apart from the setting of the competition, for the quality of the prizes, which included, among other things, golf equipment and clothing from prestigious brands, TomTom GPS watches and Somontano D.O. wines.
Finca Cortesín, San Roque Old and La Reserva de Sotogrande, upcoming events of the Andalucía Golf Challenge
The following appointments of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit will be held at other great golf courses in Costa del Sol: Finca Cortesín (July 25), San Roque Old (August 7) and La Reserva de Sotogrande (August 22). Registrations can be made at each club hosting the tournaments.
