Benalmádena Golf was the scene on Sunday of the first round of the Andalusian Pitch & Putt Circuit 2015, which premiered its season with a great success of participation. In total, 80 players took part in the competition, in which the local player, José Antonio Rivas Espadase proclaimed champion with 50 strokes (-4), while the runner-up, with one more stroke (-3), was the player of Marbella Golf & Country Club Antonio Pimentel.
As for the handicap classifications, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Sánchez and Lucas Fernández Panizza , also players from Benalmádena Golf, were proclaimed champion and runner-up in the first category, with 50 and 52 net strokes respectively.
In the second handicap category, Fermín Palma Iri (Santa María Golf) was the first classified with 50 net strokes, two more than the player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Pablo Hidalgo Portillo.
The awards ceremony was presided over by the President of Benalmádena Golf, Salvador Méndez and the members of the Pitch & Putt Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, Carlos Ramón de Fata and José Manuel Crespo.
Sherry Golf Jerez will host on March 15 the next appointment of this Andalusian Pitch & Putt Circuit 2015, for which registration is already available at this link and until March 12.
