The fields of Tramores (Villa Padierna), La Envia and Novo Sancti Petri hosted on Saturday the first meeting of the Circuitos Juvenil and Benjamín de Andalucía 2014.
In total, 273 players participated in the three zones, who played 18 holes under Stroke Play Scratch for the Cadets, Infants and Alevines categories, and 9 holes for the benjamín category.
As for the winners, in the Almeria course of La Envia, the local players, Rebeca Fernandez and Antonio Gonzalez, were proclaimed champions in the Alevín Male and Female categories with 74 and 96 strokes respectively.
In the Children’s category, the winner was the player from Almerimar, Marina Escobar -who delivered a card of 73 strokes- and the player from Alhaurín Golf, Óscar González, with a total of 86 strokes.
In the central area, Tramores (Villa Padierna), Laurentino Gil -from SIGA-Sotogrande- and Patience Rhodes -from La Cañada- have won with 66 and 73 strokes (+3 and +10), respectively, in the fry classifications. Among the children, the player of Alhaurín Golf, Taylor Roco Paolo, and the player of La Cañada, Mimí Rhodes, won with 67 and 63 strokes (+4 and par).
Moving on to the juniors, the first classified were the local player, Cristina Albertazzi and Albert Sanchez de la Fuente (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina), with 35 and 41 strokes in the 9 holes played.
Finally, in Novo Sancti Petri, the player from Pozoblanco, Raúl Martínez, and the player from the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Ana Amalia Pina, were proclaimed champions in the Alevín category with 83 and 81 strokes. In the children’s category, Antonio Pina – Real Club de Golf de Sevilla – has signed the best result of the day – 77 strokes that have proclaimed him champion – while, in the female children’s category, the player of La Cañada, Mercedes Vega, has been the first classified with 83 strokes.
As for the juniors, the first places went to Ali Berk -from the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla- with 41 strokes (+5) and Marta Aguilar, from La Cañada, with 53 strokes.
The awards ceremony at Villa Padierna was attended by Patricia Jiménez (member of the RFGA Promotion Committee) and Antonio Lantero (Director of Operations at Villa Padierna). In Novo Sancti Petri, Miguel Míguez, member of the RFGA Children’s Committee, and Rafael Hernández Alcalá, Director of Novo Sancti Petri, were present.
The registration period is now open for the next meeting of the Benjamin and Junior Circuits, to be held on March 14 and 15 at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla and Baviera Golf (March 14) and Real Club de Golf Guadalmina (March 15).
