This weekend, days May 31st and y 1st of Junethe new course of The San Roque Club will be the scene of the Men’s Interclubs Championship of Andalusia 2014. A total of 29 sets of four players will take part in a competition that will be played over 36 holes, under the Fourball modality on the first day and Individual Stroke Play on the second.
In 2013, Guadalhorce Club de Golf, acting as host club, added its second absolute title after the one won in 1997.
Two years ago, Real Club de Golf de Golf Guadalmina also left the victory at home and broke the hegemony of Club de Golf La Cañada, winner in 2010 and 2011.
In this year’s edition, these three clubs are once again the favorites, without ruling out the teams representing Club de Golf Bellavista, Real Club de Golf de Sevilla and Real Club Pineda de Sevilla from the fight for the title.
The winning foursome will be subsidized by the Men’s Technical Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation to participate in the Spanish Interclub Men’s Championship, which will be played from September 25 to 28 at the Real Nuevo Club de Golf de San Sebastián Basozábal (San Sebastián) .
The Men’s Interclub Championship of Andalusia has been held since 1980 and its extensive list of winners includes Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and La Cañada as the most successful clubs with nine victories.
