Seve’s eldest son makes his professional debut on the Costa del Sol

The eldest son of Seve Ballesteros, Javier, is the main protagonist, for his debut as a professional, in the Alps Tour Qualifying School, which takes place at La Cala Resort in Costa del Sol. The Alps Tour is the third most important European circuit after the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. The first phase of the School takes place on December 11 and 12 and is played in the three golf courses that make up this complex located in the municipality of Mijas, while the final phase will take place on the 15th, 16th and 17th.

This important event gathers more than 250 players from 19 countries. In the first phase 190 players compete for the opportunity to play in the final phase. Those who qualify on this occasion will join those who pre-qualified in previous competitions. At the end of the week, the top 65 golfers will earn their playing privileges in different categories for the 2015 Alps Tour.

Javier Ballesteros, 24, became a professional player after formalizing his status with the Royal Spanish Golf Federation last November.

For the third year, the Alps Tour has chosen the golf and leisure resort to organize its prestigious Qualifying School. The resort offers unbeatable facilities to host this type of competitions: hotel, three golf courses, various sports facilities including the only running circuit in a resort in Andalusia, Spa and wide and valued gastronomic offer.
