
The Campo America of La Cala Resort will witness on July 18 the sporting confrontation between former soccer players of international relevance and well-known sports journalists, within the second edition of the Manu Sarabia Trophy Charity Tournament.
The championship, which will be played over three days, will begin its first day at La Cala Resort, on Friday, July 18, whose facilities will host this event, which will be played under the “Pro am” modality between amateurs who wish to participate and a professional, in this case, a soccer legend or a renowned journalist. Among the former footballers and coaches who will participate are Manu Sarabia himself, Pepe Salguero, Iñaki Sáez, José Martínez “Pirri”, Bernd Schuster and Donato. Among the historic sports journalists will be José Ángel de la Casa, Joaquín Marín, Elena Jiménez, Valentín Requena, Iñaki Cano and Carlos Martínez.
The championship has a solidarity purpose whose proceeds will go to collaborate with non-profit organizations such as the Severiano Ballesteros Foundation, dedicated to clinical cancer research; the Cielo 133 Association, which fights for development in Ethiopia and the Extratime Association, promoter of the program “You mark”, an educational and sports project sponsored by Sarabia, aimed at children at risk of social exclusion in the Malaga neighborhood of San Andres.
This tournament has the support of the Spanish Footballers Association (AFE) and the collaboration of the Malaga Sports Press Association.
La Cala Resort Golf, SPA, Gastronomy and Entertainment
