Jordan Spieth has returned to winning ways after a nine-month win drought, winning the AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm with great authority.
The winner of the 2015 Masters and U.S. Open that elevated him to the top of the world ranking was four strokes clear of Kelly Kraft. Spieth had started the final round with a six-stroke lead over the runner-up.
The Texan player is currently sixth in the world ranking, led by Jason Day, followed by Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.
The good news for Spanish golf at Pebble Beach was the great performance of Jon Rahm, who finished fifth and scored his sixth top 10 in the 19 tournaments he has played since turning professional and his fourth top 15 this season.
The 22-year-old Biscayan finished his performance with a round of 68 for an overall 12 under par and was seven strokes behind the winner.
Rahm placed sixth in the FedEx Cup and took home a check for $264,800, totaling $1,794,145 in earnings so far this season. With this result he moves from 42nd to 37th in the world ranking.
