A total of 160 players gathered at the magnificent Madrid course La Dehesa to compete in the tournament of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition ..

The course was in excellent condition, appreciating the improvements promoted by the new manager, Abel Jimenez. The greens were at 10.5 feet of speed and rolling.
Tee-offs were consecutive from the 1st tee from 7:15 in the morning. At the beginning of the day the conditions were tough, with wind, overcast skies and a cold atmosphere. As the day progressed, conditions improved noticeably, with the wind stopping, sunrise and high temperatures.
On the 10th tee, the players enjoyed refreshments including delicious ham pulguitas and San Miguel beers, which were also waiting for the players at the end of the round.
The organization of the Circuit is grateful for the support of all the club staff, with special mention for Amparo Jarné, always attentive to details, and the sports director, Carlos Hernán, who was assisted in a magnificent way by Raúl father and son, who acted as starter.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.
The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28th at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.
Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.
The next meeting of the Circuit will be on Sunday, June 29 in San Roque Old.

TRIP TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the winners of the 5 one-week trips with flights, all-inclusive accommodations at the 5-star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, DyeFore y PGA Ocean’s 4. The Grand Final will take place on September 28th and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús*****.
