A total of 14 teams of 4 players participated yesterday in El Chaparral (Mijas Costa, Malaga) in the third round of Zone A of the International Women’s Tour of Andalusia, which was played under the individual stableford handicap modality and ended with the victory of the team formed by the players of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Candelaria Flores and Inés Pérez, and the player of Bellavista, Paloma Rodríguez-Arias. The fourth member of the team, Gabriela Molina de la Escalera, could not participate in this test -thus discarding her card-, something that has not prevented the victory of her teammates.
The winners have won with a total of 84 points, one more than the second classified team, composed by the players of Atalaya Golf & Country Club, Maureen Mcrobb, Ioula Flada, Doris Buchmann and Nina Phillimore.
The awards ceremony was attended by Candelaria Flores, President of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Domingo Gavira, Director of El Chaparral; and Mª Carmen Carmona, Member of the Women’s Committee of the RFGA.
This was the third and last qualifying event of Zone A of the 2015 Women’s Circuit. After it, the eight best-ranked teams will access the final to be played in Rio Real on June 10 and 11.
As for Zone B, on May 30, the last qualifying round will be held at the Isla Canela course in Huelva.
