
The International Benjamín, Alevín and Infantil de Andalucía Championships -which were played at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina on two consecutive days and under stroke play scratch modality- concluded with the victories of Pedro Marín and Carmen Belmonte in the Infantil category, Daniel Casas and Evelina Stanikova in Alevín and Álvaro Gómez de Linares and Andrea Revuelta in Benjamín.
Beginning with the Children’s Men’s category, Pedro Marín -federado by the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande- has been proclaimed champion today after winning in play off to the player of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Antonio Pina, after finishing both with a cumulative total of 152 strokes.
As for the Girls’ Junior category, the player of the Club de Campo de Córdoba, Carmen Belmonte, has maintained today the first position she got yesterday thanks to a first round of 73 strokes (+1), to which today has added another 72, for a total of 145. Meanwhile, the player of La Cañada, Mimi Rhodes, has been proclaimed runner-up with 149 strokes.
Moving on to the Alevín category, in the men’s classification the victory went to Daniel Casas (Benalmádena Golf), who defended the first position he already obtained yesterday with 75 strokes, signing today a round of 74 and thus revalidating the title he won last year. The silver, with four strokes difference, went to Miguel Krowicki.
Meanwhile, the player of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Evelina Stanikova has achieved victory in the Female Fry category, with two rounds of 74 and 78 strokes, for a total of 152, while Marta Lopez (Playa Serena) has remained in second place already achieved during the day yesterday, with a total of 159 strokes.
In the Benjamins, the player of Lauro Golf, Alvaro Gomez de Linares, has remained at the top of the male classification and has been proclaimed champion with a total of 78 strokes. Víctor Leiva (Guadalhorce Club de Golf) follows him in second place with only one stroke difference.
Andrea Revuelta, meanwhile, has also retained the first place in which he stood yesterday and has been proclaimed champion with 92 strokes. Behind her, Cristina Albertazzi (Villa Padierna), has been in second place with a total score of 100 strokes.
A total of 160 players participated in the Championships. While the Infantil and Alevín categories have played two days of 18 holes each in Guadalmina Sur, the benjamines have played 9 holes each day in the North course.
At the end of the competition, the awards ceremony was held, which was attended by Angel de la Riva, President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Malaga; Pablo Mansilla, Sports Director of the RFGA; Ignacio del Cuvillo, Director of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; and Marc Mueller, Vocal of the Infantiles of the RCG Guadalmina.
The awards ceremony for the youngest players was attended by Pablo Mansilla, Marc Mueller, Diego Molina (main referee of the tournament), and Javier Núñez (member of the RFGA Children’s Committee).
