The Circuitos Benjamín and Juvenil de Andalucía close their season at Montecastillo

The Benjamín and Juvenile Circuits of Andalusia have concluded this weekend the 2014 season at the golf course of MontecastilloMontecastillo, which hosted the final of both circuits, in which 22 players from the Benjamin category and 96 juniors participated.

As in the qualifying rounds, the final of the Junior Circuit was played in 18 holes under Stroke Play modality, while the juniors played 9 holes.

In the Girls category, the player from Novo Sancti Petri, Isabel Marín was proclaimed Champion with 71 strokes (-1) and the player from Sotogrande, Enrique Marín, was the winner in the Boys category, with 74 strokes (+2).

As for the Cadets, Marta López de Alda (Jerez Club de Golf) has been the Champion of this final in the female category, with 75 strokes. On the other hand, Angel Hidalgo, from Guadalmina, has been the Cadet Male Champion, after signing a brilliant round of 68 strokes (-4).

María Contreras (El Paraíso), has been awarded the victory in the female children’s category, with 75 strokes, one less than Ángel Manuel Rodríguez (Añoreta) who, with 76, has been the winner in the male children’s category.

Among the juniors, Julia López (Club de Golf Benahavís) and Alejandro García (Santa Clara Granada), were the best in this final, both with 80 strokes.

As for the juniors, the players of La Cañada, Patience Rhodes and Angel Ayora, were proclaimed champions of this final with rounds of 48 and 42 strokes, respectively.

Winners of the Andalusian Ranking 2014

After the celebration of this final, in the awards ceremony, in addition to the champions of the day, the best of the Andalusian Ranking 2014 in each of the categories have been awarded.

Thus, Isabel Marín (Girl), Ángel Hidalgo (Male Cadet) and María Contreras (Female Infantil) and the benjamins Ángel Ayora and Patience Rhodes, have added to their victory today the first position obtained in the ranking, to put the finishing touch to this end of season.

Regarding the rest of the categories, the SIGA – Sotogrande player, Calvin Greschner has finished in first position of the 2014 Ranking in Boy category. Pilar Martínez Stephens, from Guadalhorce, has been the first classified Female Cadet and, as for the Male Junior Ranking, Ignacio Puente – from Real Club de Golf de Sevilla – has finished this year at the top of the table.

As for the Alevines, Evelina Stankova (Guadalmina) and Alejandro Nestares (SIGA -Sotogrande) have been the best in the Ranking of this year 2014.

The awards ceremony was attended by Francisco Puente, President of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Guillermo Pérez, Sports Coordinator of Montecastillo Golf Resort; Borja López, Deputy Director of Montecastillo Golf Resort; and Miguel Miguez and Javier Núñez, members of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation.
