Alberto Rubio Daza, Alejandro Carrere Lovera, José Ugía González, Jose Félix García España and Maximiliaan Werswyver are the deserved and lucky winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean achieved by obtaining the best results in the grand final of the XI Circuito Andalucía Golf Challenge Destino PGA Riviera Maya Bahía Príncipe, played at the magnificent course of the Marbella Club Golf Resort.
This quintet of great players (scratch winner and first and second classified in the two existing categories) will enjoy a one-week trip that includes flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf at three of the best courses in the Caribbean: PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleón Mayacoba and Playa Paraíso.
The splendid Costa del Sol course directed by Rod Bastard brought together the 80 players classified either directly or by global ranking in the 23 tournaments that have made up this eleventh edition of the tournament organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf and that have traveled through numerous provinces, especially Andalusian, between March and September. The Marbella Club Golf Resort is a course highly appreciated by the players and very demanding, which was reflected in the results. It is worth highlighting the high level of play of the participants, with half of them with a handicap of less than 10.
As a sign of how exciting the tournament was, it is worth mentioning the triple tie in the scratch classification, which was finally won by José Ugía González, who had the highest handicap. His 35 scratch points were the same as those obtained by Jonas Reffborn and Alejandro Carrere Lovera. The latter won the trip to the Riviera Maya by qualifying in first category with 35 points, where Alberto Rubio Daza also won the trip prize as the second classified, with the same score. In second category, Jose Félix García España and Maximiliaan Werswyver, first and second classified with 39 and 37 points respectively, will travel to the Caribbean. Jose Felix was also the winner of the special prize for the closest ball to the flag, in hole 2, which consisted of a fabulous laser meter of the Minimi brand, of super-reduced size (it fits in the pocket) and with all the features of the best lasers of greater size.

To round off the Circuit, a gala dinner and awards ceremony was held at the magnificent El Gamonal restaurant in Marbella, which brought together more than a hundred people. A mariachi trio gave a musical welcome to the guests, who enjoyed an exquisite dinner served in one of the restaurant’s gardens under a pleasant temperature that invited them to enjoy the open air. Some of the players who did not know the restaurant were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service of this establishment that knows and is committed to the golf player as it is located in the heart of the Marbella Golf Valley, resulting in the perfect complement to complete an unbeatable day of golf.
Among those attending the dinner, the presence of the provincial delegate of Malaga of the Ministry of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, Nuria Rodríguez, who highlighted in her speech the importance of golf as a tourist resource of the autonomous community and highlighted the outstanding role of tourism promotion that Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine has been carrying out in its 34 years of existence.
The trip to the Riviera Maya will take place from November 6-14, with flights to Cancun and accommodation at the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum on an all-inclusive basis.
