On August 25, the fourth of the summer tournaments of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2013 circuit, a tour played on the best courses of the Costa del Sol, was played at Flamingos Golf.
The magnificent course surrounding the acclaimed Villa Padierna Palace Hotel, where the wife of President Barack Obama and one of his daughters stayed, delighted the participants of the tournament, who also enjoyed a splendid weather day. Among the players was the actor and singer Pachi Andión, who had also played the Andalucía Golf Challenge at Marbella Club Golf Resort a few days earlier.
Flamingos Golf is one of the three courses that make up the Villa Padierna Resort, located between Marbella and Estepona. The style of this course is unmistakable thanks to its reminiscences of the landscape of Italian Tuscany, with slender cypresses marking the layout, where there is also no lack of beautiful sculptures of classical invoice, also present, like many other works of art, in the magnificent hotel of the complex.
After the competition, a cocktail was served in one of the resort’s restaurants, La Cantina, with the special collaboration of the firm Quality, which delighted those present with a splendid selection of Iberian ham, cheeses, wines and oils.
As always, the players appreciated the high quality and quantity of prizes and gifts that were awarded. The winner of each category was awarded two flights to Turkey with Turkish Airlines. The other best classified players received golf equipment of leading brands from Holiday Golf, and all players of legal age were given bottles of wine from the Somontano appellation of origin, as well as vouchers for the Casino de Marbella.
The winners of the competition were Diego Echavarría Picatoste in the first category, with 41 points, and Folbio Belftramelti, with 41 points . in second place, also with 41 points. The second classified, in first and second categories respectively, were Antonio García-Sotoca, with 40 points, and Adrián Rebollo, with 39, and in third position were Francisco José Pérez Holgado, with 39 points, and Alexander Yudin, with 38.

The prize for the longest drive went to Lyn Ayling and Francisco Carrasco Román, while the prize for the ball closest to the flag went to José Andrés Torres Cabral, and the prize for the best classified lady went to Montserrat San Miguel.
