The Andalusian Pitch & Putt has once again demonstrated the great momentum it is going through with the celebration of the U-16 Andalusian Championship in the Malaga layout of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.
A total of 75 young golfers of categories Cadet, Infantile, Alevín and Benjamín have taken part in a tournament that has been disputed to 36 holes under the Stroke Play format, except the benjamines that have played two rounds of 9 holes.
As for the Scratch classifications, all have been decided by a narrow margin. Thus, José Miguel Argenta García has been proclaimed Absolute champion of Andalusia U-16 and in turn of the Children’s category, with a single stroke of advantage over Felipe Barrena Rodríguez.
Also with that minimal difference, Beltrán Fernández Barbadillo has beaten Valentina Albertazzi in the Alevín category, and Daniel Casas Bagherian has won over Pablo Hidalgo Portillo in the Benjamín category.

Even more evenly matched was the Cadet category, where David Lopez Romero and Calvin John Greschner had to play a play-off in which the Cordovan player finally came out the winner on the first hole.
As for the handicap winners, Teresa López de Coca Pérez won in the Cadet category.
Pablo Hidalgo, with a hole in one, has benefited from the difference in handicap to break the tie at 46 net strokes with Julia López Ramírez in the Benjamin category.
Other players who concluded the competition with a hole-in-one on their card were David Waller Torras and Emilio Alonso Saucedo.
Finally, completing the list of winners, Saida Fernández Real (Infantil) and Jonah Fernandes (Alevín) won their respective categories.
As a culmination of the Andalusian Championship of Pitch & Putt U-16, the awards ceremony was held in the presence of Antonio Fuentes, Acting President of the P&P Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Patricia Jiménez, Secretary of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; and Blanca Hermana, Chief Referee of the competition.
