This Friday and Saturday will be held in Mallorca the charity golf tournament Olazábal&Nadal Invitational by Pula Golf Resort. For the fifth consecutive year, professional golf players such as Álvaro Quirós, Adrián Otaegui or Nacho Elvira, will join the best tennis player in the world, Rafael Nadal, and the legendary golfer, José María Olazábal, to support socially disadvantaged groups, through the celebration of this sporting event, with a marked charitable character. In addition, Michelin-starred chefs such as Frank Rosin, Macarena de Castro and Luis Veira will collaborate in the event, offering participants the best gastronomy with their culinary skills, making this competition a unique tournament in the world.
Thus, eighteen international golfers, including Jesús Legarrea, Emanuele Canónica, Benoit Tellería, Eduardo de la Riva, Lorenzo Gagli or Santi Luna, will show their best game in the Olazábal&Nadal Invitational by Pula Golf Resort, along with amateurs who have wanted to join in this new edition. The teams will be captained by the world’s number 1 tennis player or by the winner of two editions of the Augusta Masters.
Together with them, the chef Frank Rosin (2 Michelin stars) will join his skills in the kitchen to those of Macarena de Castro, Luis Veira, (both with 1 Michelin star) and the prestigious Santi Taura, who will also play a leading role in this tournament. Their creations will be presented during these days in the new restaurant S’Era de Pula, designed by Estudio AAPRILE, which will be inaugurated on Thursday 23rd with the presence of the two sportsmen who are the driving force behind the tournament, thus starting the fifth edition of the Olazábal&Nadal Invitational by Pula Golf Resort.
The tournament, unique at international level, will once again be held at the course designed by the Basque golfer, Pula Golf Mallorca, located in a privileged and unique environment of the island and located in Son Servera.
Through a PRO AM that will begin on Friday, November 24 and will have its second and final day on Saturday 25, all participants will enjoy a competition where the best shots on the green will have an impact far beyond the sport: a social effect. In this way, the funds raised will go to the Rafa Nadal Foundation (www.fundacionrafanadal.org) and the Sport Mundi Foundation (www.sport-mundi.org) of José María Olazábal.
Specifically, the proceeds obtained this year will go to the work done by UNHCR with refugees through Sport Mundi, while the Rafa Nadal Foundation will allocate these funds to its More than Tennis project, aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities and currently has 18 schools throughout Spain.
