The Pequecircuito 2014 closes its season at the RCG Sotogrande

The par 3 course of the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande hosted the Final of the Pequecircuito de Andalucía 2014in which a total of 136 children under 11 years of age participated. Participants played 9 holes under Stroke Play Scratch mode with eight categories in play.

As for the winners, the SIGA – Sotogrande player, Daniela Aramburu, won the Special Women’s category, with a score of 33 strokes (+6). In the Special Men’s category, the winner was David George Schneider (Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf School), with 29 strokes (+2).

Paula del Rosal (La Cañada) and Javier Aragón (Golf Novo Sancti Petri), were the winners in the Alevín category, with 41 and 33 strokes respectively.

Moving on to the 9-10 years old Benjamin category, the winner in the female category was Rebeca Fernández (La Envía) with 36 strokes, and the champion in the male category was Thomas Butler (Casares Costa Golf), with 35.

Finally, Sebastian Desoisa (Alcaidesa Links) and Claudia Casas (Benalmádena Golf), with 37 strokes each, were the best classified in the Benjamin category under 8 years old.

In this last event of the 2014 season, the best players of the annual ranking were also awarded.

Thus, David George Schneider, Rebeca Fernandez, Thomas Butler and Sebastian Desoisa added to their victory today the awards as best players of the 2014 Ranking in their categories, to put the finishing touch to this Final.

As for the other categories, the winners were María Torres (Female Special Category), Maria José Lafuente (Female Alevín), Jesús Pérez (Male Alevín) and Marta Aguilar (Female Benjamín under 8 years old).

The awards ceremony was attended by Francisco Puente, President of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Agustín Mazarrasa, Director of the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande; Miguel Navarro, Director of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation and Javier Núñez, Member of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation.
