
Blue sky, lots of laughter and kilos of solidarity. These have been the ingredients for the Final of the Pequecircuito de Andalucía 2016 -which was held at the Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf School- to be a success.
The little ones have responded with great enthusiasm and with the best of their smiles to the initiative of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation to collect food and hygiene products, which will be donated to the Food Bank of the Costa del Sol, for distribution to various organizations and soup kitchens. Thus, they have contributed to make even more special a competition that is always one of the most endearing of the calendar.
In total, there have been almost a hundred players who – after having qualified throughout the year in the various tests that have been held in different parts of the Andalusian geography – have accessed today to this great final, in which they have played nine holes under stroke play scratch mode.
As for the results -and starting with the fry category- , the federated by Baviera Golf, Israel Bermudez, has delivered a total of 38 strokes to take the win in the men’s classification. On the other hand, Lucia Osuna (Real Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri) was the best among the girls in the fry category, with 45 strokes.
Continuing with the junior 9-10 years, the local player, Pablo Fernandez, and the federated by the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Valeria Ramirez, were the winners with 36 and 46 strokes, respectively.
On the other hand, José María Sánchez (Antequera Golf) and Noa Terroba (Club de Golf Benahavís), were the best among the junior players of 8 years old and under with 38 and 40 strokes each.
Finally, in the special category, the victory went to Emiliano Sanz (Real Club de Campo de Málaga) and Victoria Godino (Club de Golf La Cañada), who accumulated 32 and 35 strokes.
During today’s awards ceremony -which was presided over by Fernando Pacheco, president of the Children’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation and the members of the Committee, Patricia Jiménez and Javier Núñez- the winners of the Pequecircuito 2016 Ranking were also awarded:
Fry: Jaime Cruz and Silvia Barnes
Benjamin 1: Nilo Natoli-José Mª Sánchez (they finished tied in the male category) and Marta Carbajo.
Benjamin 2: Íñigo Ferreira and Valeria Ramírez
Special: Juan Ángel Mercado and Victoria Godino
