
The holes of the par 3 courses of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Isla Canela and Parque Deportivo de La Garza have been the protagonists of a new installment of the Pequecircuito 2015 that, in total, has brought together more than 200 children under 11 years old who have played 9 holes under individual Stroke Play Scratch mode.
Starting with the results at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, which has hosted more than 130 players, Inés Jiménez (Aloha Golf) and Alfredo López (La Cañada Club de Golf), have been proclaimed champions in the junior category with 31 and 34 strokes each.
Meanwhile, Carlota Sierra (Club de Golf Benahavís) and Jesús Rodríguez (Añoreta Golf) were the best 9-10 year olds with 37 and 33 strokes, while local player Casilda Bayón and La Cañada member Manuel Martín, with cards of 42 and 36 strokes, were the best under 8 year olds.
In the special category, the winners, with 33 and 35 impacts, were Paula López (El Paraíso) and Enrique Cuevas (La Cañada Club de Golf).
The awards ceremony was attended by Marc Mueller, Delegate of the Children’s Committee of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, and Javier Núñez, Member of the Children’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation.
Moving on to the test played in Isla Canela, the player of the Escuela Pública La Cartuja, Iván Correa and the player of Costa Esuri, Laura López, were the best in the fry category with 41 and 42 strokes.
On the other hand, the local player, Kostka Horno, with a cumulative score of 40, and Violeta Martínez, with 46 strokes, were proclaimed champions in the 9-10 years old benjamin category.
Among the benjamins under 8 years old, Marcos Ramirez won with 52 strokes, while in the special category, the victory went to Rodrigo Portilla (Escuela Pública La Cartuja) with a total of 40 strokes.
The awards ceremony was attended, on behalf of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, by Miguel Míguez, member of the Children and Youth Committee; Kostka Horno, Director of Isla Canela; and Juan Agüera, club professional.
It should be remembered that this was the last round of the Pequecircuito de Andalucía 2015 before the summer break. In September, it will resume its tour of the Andalusian courses with a new appointment at Sherry Golf, Playa Serena and Benalmádena Golf.
