The Príncipe Felipe de La Manga Club, best Spanish golf hotel

The prestigious international World Golf Awards, considered the Oscars of golf worldwide, have once again recognized the Hotel Príncipe Felipe 5* at La Manga Club as the Best Golf Hotel in Spain.

The gala was held at the Portuguese resort Quinta do Lago, in the Algarve, and was attended by more than 400 people from all over the world, who did not want to miss such a spectacular event. Among the personalities who attended the event at the Conrad Hotel was the European Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher, who received the honorary award for a lifetime of professional golf.

La Manga Club’s Hotel Príncipe Felipe 5* was the winner ahead of 18 other nominees including, for example, the Tenerife resort hotel Abama Golf & Spa Resort, the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel or the Malaga-based Finca Cortesín Hotel Golf & Spa and Villa Padierna Palace Hotel. Eduardo Ruiz, Director of Golf at La Manga Club, collected the award.

José Asenjo, CEO and General Manager of La Manga Club, says: “It is an honor for La Manga Club to receive the recognition of the prestigious World Golf Awards, taking into account the high quality and reputation of the other 18 candidates. This award only confirms that we are heading in the right direction and motivates us to continue working to ensure that the resort is recognized as one of the best sports complexes in the world”.

La Manga Club has the honor of other prestigious awards such as the Best Golf Course in Spain for four consecutive years by the British magazine Today’s Golfer, or the most recent, which includes the West Course of the resort as one of the 100 best golf courses in Europe. All these awards complete the long list of tributes already awarded to the Cartagena resort.
