
With a splendid day both in terms of weather and sports, the Final of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit Destination La Romana Golf Club Bahia Principe in Dominican Republic was played at the South Course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina. The day, framed in a sunny day with a pleasant breeze, recorded a high level of play of the finalists, who had qualified in the seven tournaments that have made up the Circuit this year: RCG Guadalhorce, San Roque Old, RCG Sotogrande, RC Valderrama, RC Valderrama, La Reserva de Sotogrande, Flamingos and Valle Romano.
The magnificent Marbella course, the work of the great Basque designer Javier Arana and the second oldest on the Costa del Sol, after the Club de Campo de Málaga, presented perfect conditions for the development of the competition, which brought together players from different parts of the country and also foreigners in a great atmosphere of camaraderie.
The winners of the five one-week trips to the Caribbean were the first two in first and second category plus the scratch winner. In first category, the two players who will enjoy La Romana Golf Bahia Principe are Juan David Carretero Castillo (hcp 13) and Pedro Antonio Corral Pedruzo (hcp 13) with 40 and 38 points respectively. In the second category, the first two classified were Rafael Rubio Lacambra (hcp 29) and Francisco López Castro (hcp 20),with 45 and 43 points respectively. The scratch winner, with 27 points, was Santiago Gutiérrez Duque (hcp 10).
HEADING TO THE CARIBBEAN
The date of the trip is from October 29th to November 5th and the prize includes the following: flights from Malaga to Santo Domingo round trip, transfers from the airport to the VIP hotel and back, 7 nights all inclusive accommodation at Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville at La Romana Golf Club, 2 green fees at La Romana GC plus buggy with transfers included, unlimited practice balls, drinks and snacks during the round, club rental or custody at the club/hotel. As a special contribution of Andalucía Golf, one day will be played at the Punta Espada course (Cap Cana) and another at Diente de Perro (La Romana).
