Valderrama, from a bird’s eye view

The most famous Spanish golf course, the Real Club Valderrama, presents this spectacular aspect seen from above. True winged birdies will spot this panoramic view.
The use of drones to capture aerial images has brought a new perspective to landscapes. The beauty of the view from the air becomes evident when the target is in itself a spectacle, whatever the angle of view, from the heights or from the ground. This is the case of the Real Club Valderrama course, whose splendid figure acquires a new dimension from a bird’s eye view.

This photograph shows the new practice area of the 1997 Ryder Cup course with its four greens protected by bunkers. The aesthetics of the image is unquestionable, especially highlighting the lush mass of cork oak trees that are the hallmark of the famous golf course in Costa del Sol.

It is a pity that drones did not exist during that intercontinental competition in which Seve captained the European team that defeated the North Americans. The images would have been anthological. Or that time when Tiger Woods overcame Miguel Angel Jimenez on the last hole to win the American Express World Championship, or that other occasion in the Volvo Masters when Montgomerie and Langer shared the victory because the sunlight ran out… The great stories of the great Valderrama.
