On June 4 and 5 took place at the Club Zaudín Golf in Seville the “VI Golf Tournament Tierra de hombres”, which is held biennially, with the support of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation. This Tournament has been possible for the last twelve years thanks to the altruistic cession of the facilities and wonderful course of the Zaudín Golf Club in Seville, during the two days of the event, with the benefits of the green fees going entirely to the Foundation.
A total of 128 players participated in the tournament and there were prizes for the first three male and female finishers, with trophies for the men’s Tierra, Hole 4 longest tee time male and female, Hole 9 closest ball male and female, Scratch Prize, and Forrabolas for the last two male and female pairs.
USP Sagrado Corazón, “la Caixa”, Coca Cola, El Corte Inglés, ABC de Sevilla, Fundación Cruzcampo, Manzanilla Solear, Bye-Bye Pelos and Federación de Golf de Castilla y León sponsored the tournament with the purchase of holes, thus increasing the benefits of the tournament. There were also hotels and golf courses that generously offered weekend stays and green fees.
The presentation of trophies, prizes and the Grand Draw among the participants took place during a cocktail served by Catering Barros to the players, and where we were accompanied by representatives of the companies sponsoring the tournament.
The Tournament was a success, where there were important prizes and in sufficient quantity for almost all players, having for the unlucky ones, consolation prizes.
The winners of the tournament were Ana Armengou Arca and Romualdo Bautista Bejarano, while the scratch prize went to Ricardo Lantero, the longest driver to Dina Matarredona and Lorenzo de Alvear, and the closest ball to Ana and Ubaldo García Torrentes.
