Viktor Hovland signed one of the most celebrated wins of his career by claiming his eighth PGA Tour title at the Travelers Championship, played in Connecticut. The Norwegian, an ambassador of the Scandinavian brand J.Lindeberg since 2019, prevailed in a tense finish.
The outcome came on Monday morning, in a sudden-death playoff in which Viktor Hovland beat none other than the world No.1. A birdie on the first extra hole was enough to seal the win and spark the celebrations on the green.

Hovland sealed the victory wearing the Heath Polo, a lightweight, breathable piece that offers comfort and freedom of movement for the most demanding play. The image of the Norwegian celebrating with a clenched fist instantly became the postcard of the tournament.
Throughout the week, Viktor Hovland drew on the Swedish firm’s full arsenal of technical polos: the Tucker Polo on Thursday; the Viggo Polo on Friday, the day he carded a 61 (nine under par); the Bala Print Polo on Moving Day; and the Tour Tech Print Polo, which held up through the conditions of a dramatic Sunday afternoon. In the first three rounds he wore the Mitch Pant in three colours and saved the white Ellott Pant for the final day.
Viktor Hovland and J.Lindeberg, a perfect month
The win comes right after J.Lindeberg’s 30th-anniversary celebration, which included a special capsule honouring Jesper Parnevik, the brand’s first ambassador. That collection was worn by Hovland himself and his teammate Niklas Nørgaard at the 126th U.S. Open.
«It’s been an incredible month of celebration at J.Lindeberg, capped off with a spectacular win for Viktor and the whole JL team,» said Neil Lewty, the brand’s creative director. «Viktor is the embodiment of what it means to be a J.Lindeberg ambassador: competing at the highest level with confidence and comfort, both in his game and in his clothing. We’re thrilled for him and look forward to many more successes in the future.»
