Watching the entire Ryder Cup at Gleneagles will cost 592 euros.

Enjoying the Ryder Cup live on the course itself is a priceless spectacle… or is it? The truth is yes, and it also costs almost an arm and a leg. The six-day pass (including the first three days of practice and the opening ceremony of the tournament) costs 500 pounds, or 592 euros. If you want to go to Gleneagles, Scotland, one of the days of competition (26, 27 and 28 September 2014) you will have to pay a minimum of 120 pounds (ticket for Friday or Saturday) and a maximum of 145, to see the final day, on Sunday. The price for each of the first two days of practice is £35 (£10 for under-16s), while the third day, which also includes the opening ceremony, is £45.

Parking, for those travelling by car, will cost £10 per day on practice days and £20 per day on competition days.

In an information provided by the Ryder Cup organization to the press, a comparison of ticket prices of major international sporting events is made to highlight that those of the aforementioned golf event are much cheaper than the others. Thus, for example, it shows that the maximum price of a ticket for the Ryder Cup is 145 pounds (on Sunday), while that of the soccer World Cup final costs 563; that of the Euro Cup, 475; that of the Champions League, 330; that of the Olympic Games, 450; that of the Rugby World Cup, 435; and that of the British Grand Prix Formula 1 is 145.

Today opens the pre-registration period to be able to access one of the precious -in all senses- tickets. The first thing to do is to pre-register with a photograph (to avoid fraud and pass transfer) and later, from June 10, the official registration process will open. Those who want tickets for the practice days will be able to purchase them directly from that date, while those interested in tickets for the competition days will have to register by July 22 and will be entered into a draw, the result of which will be announced on August 12.
