The XVII edition of the Pro-Am Protagonistas In Memoriam Tomás Pascual Tournament took place on July 16 with the participation of well-known faces such as journalist Matías Prats, bullfighter Pepín Liria and former Real Madrid footballer Christian Panucci.
Once again this year, this tournament, which has become one of the most important on the Costa del Sol, was sponsored by Luis del Olmo, director of the program Protagonistas de Punto Radio, who was accompanied by José Antonio Mena, mayor of Benhavís, Javier Burgues, director of the Casino de Marbella and Manuel Piñero, Touring Pro of La Quinta Golf.
The funds raised from this initiative are destined to different non-profit organizations such as Proyecto Hombre, Fundación Marbella Solidaria, Asprona Bierzo, Alzheimer Bierzo, Asildem and the Asociación de Afectados de Síndrome de Fibromialgia y Cansancio Crónico, which will use the funds to implement programs to help people suffering from drug addiction.
A total of 23 teams participated in the tournament, consisting of three “amateurs” and one professional.
After the tournament, the event culminated with a gala dinner attended by the tournament participants, at which awards were presented to the winners.
