
Almerimar, Almenara and Hato Verde hosted the third round of the Andalusian Junior and Benjamin Circuits.
More than 170 players under the age of 18 participated in the third round of the 2015 Andalusian Junior and Benjamin Circuits, which were held on Saturday in Almenara and Almerimar and on Sunday at the Hato Verde course in Seville.
On Saturday, the Benalmádena Golf player, Daniel Casas, and the Benahavís Golf Club player, Julia López, won in Almenara in the junior category, with cards of +4 and +12, respectively.
As for the children’s category, the player of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Pedro Marín, was again proclaimed champion in the men’s classification with 77 strokes (+5), as he did in the last test of these circuits, held in March at Baviera Golf. Meanwhile, the player of Club de Golf La Cañada, Mimi Rhodes, led the women’s ranking with 78 strokes (+6).
Among the youngest, Alexander Amey (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina) and Cristina Albertazzi (Villa Padierna), were the junior champions with 41 and 56 strokes.
The awards ceremony in Almenara was attended by Javier Núñez, member of the Children’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, and Patricia Jiménez, member of the Promotion Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation.
Turning to the classifications in the Almeria course of Almerimar, the local player, Marta Lopez (Playa Serena), with 88 strokes, and Pablo Calzado, from La Cañada, with 87, were the champions among the fry, while the local player, Marina Escobar, and the player from Alhaurin Golf, Oscar Gonzalez, have won in the children’s category with 86 and 85 strokes, respectively.
Finally, Víctor Leiva, from Guadalhorce Club de Golf, was the champion in the junior classification with 47 strokes.
Francisco Puente, President of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, and Mª José Fernández, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Almería, presided over the awards ceremony after the competition.
In Hato Verde there were 80 players. The champions of the day, starting with the junior category, were the player of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Ana Amalia Pina, with 90 strokes, and Miguel Krowicki, who delivered 80 strokes. As for the children’s classification, Lucas López and the player of the Club de Campo de Córdoba, Carmen Belmonte, won with 75 and 89 strokes, respectively.
On the other hand, Alberto Baños, federated by the Club de Golf La Cañada, was the best classified among the juniors, with 46 strokes.
The awards ceremony was presided over this afternoon by Miguel Miguez, Member of the Children and Youth Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Jose Manuel Luca de Tena, Sports Director of Hato Verde; and Jose Luis Jimenez Aisa, Hato Verde’s Delegate for Children.
In May, the Playa Serena, Río Real and La Monacilla courses will host the last event before the summer of these circuits, which will resume their season in October in Alborán, Guadalhorce and Sherry Golf Jerez.
