We are already immersed in the period that until recently was considered the low golf season. The foreigners were disappearing and the national players were not able to fill the space they left behind, and they were also used to “correspondences”, impressive discounts and other gimmicks that brought down the clubs’ turnover to the lowest levels of the year.
As time went by, the high season became longer and the low season became shorter and shorter. We are living in uncertain times and we do not know if this coming summer will be like before, more or less bad, or if the tone of recent times will be maintained, in which the summer months have not been such a disaster. The domestic market is in the doldrums, as we know, but we should not fall into pessimism in advance.
If intelligent promotion policies and the necessary “adjustments” are applied, the results can be better than expected. Everyone, or almost everyone, seems to be in the secret of what must be done to achieve success in difficult times: good quality/price ratio, service and service, details that “hook”, etc., etc…. Well, let’s at least apply the recipe and let it not be said that we don’t try everything.
Next season will undoubtedly be much better, and the English market, if any major initiative in the pipeline comes to fruition, will return to what it was.
