There are shots that hurt a lot, and some that leave your pocket shaking. That is what happened yesterday to the American Kyle Stanley, who, due to a triple bogey on the last hole of the fourth round of the Farmer Insurance Open of the American Tour, lost the tournament and the 432,000 dollars difference between the first and second classified. His compatriot Brandt Snedeker won his third PGA Tour title by prevailing in the playoff that followed Stanley’s triple bogey in this tournament, endowed with 6 million dollars in prize money, of which 1,080,000 went to the winner. Snedeker, sixth after the third day, managed to tie Stanley in the lead of the tournament thanks to the 67 strokes signed in his last round and the drop suffered by his compatriot in this day, in which he totaled 74 impacts. Stanley, who had led the tournament from the beginning with spectacular cards, could not withstand the pressure of being close to his first title on the circuit and crashed on the last hole with a triple bogey, which scored 74 (+2) on the day. His failure led him to play the playoff with Snedeker. On the first hole, although he had previously failed, Stanley passed with flying colors, a birdie that also scored his rival. On the 17th again the nerves stiffened his game and he could not match the par obtained by Brandt Snedeker, who almost by surprise took the victory.
