Andalusia loses in Senior Match to the Valencian Community

Playa Serena hosted the second day of the traditional Senior Match played annually by Andalusia and the Valencian Community, in which the Valencians have revalidated the title they won last year at the Alicante course of Villaitana Golf.

During the first day, held in Almerimar, the Valencians were already ahead in the scoreboard 7-3. During the second and final day, the team maintained its excellent level of play to finish with a total score of 14-6.

Each team consisted of 20 players: 10 ladies and 10 gentlemen. The Andalusian team was composed of Naughton Nial, Thomas McManus, Juan Manuel La-Chica Damas, Mark Newall, Manuel Sousa Muros, John Robilliard, Antonio Fernandez Gonzalez, Guillermo Martínez Massanet, José Ramón Espinosa Pintor, Frans Evert Dodebier, Chelo Zafra Martínez, Mohanie Sookdeo Dodebier, Eulalia García-Estrada García, Ángeles de la Cordero Febles, Ángela Pertiñez Izquierdo, Concepción Yagüe Olmos, Rocío Hernández Gutiérrez, Amelia Hermoso Torres, Remedios Muñoz Arrebola and Felicity Jordan.

The Senior Match Andalucía-Comunidad Valenciana is played under the Four-Ball Match Play modality. The competition and the lunch that was held, also in Playa Serena, were marked by the atmosphere of familiarity and affection between both federations that have always marked this tournament.
