Beatriz Recari adds her third consecutive Top 10 at the LPGA

Beatriz Recari has extended her sensational form in the American Women’s Tour (LPGA) with another outstanding performance, this time at the Honda LPGA Thailand played at Siam Country Club (Chonburi, Thailand). The Navarrese has signed her third consecutive Top10. Her first two rounds, of 68 strokes (-4), pushed her to the top of the ranking, but the par (72) of the third round slightly slowed down her aspirations. A round of 70 strokes (-2) in her last 18 holes put her in third place. The victory went to South Korea’s Inbee Park.

Azahara Muñoz, on the other hand, was twenty-first with 285 impacts (-3), three sevens behind Beatriz Recari.

In the WGC – Accenture Match Play Championship, and once the three Spaniards in play were eliminated, the title was disputed between the Americans Matt Kuchar and Hunter Mahan, with the former winning (2/1). In the semifinals, Matt Kuchar defeated Jason Day (4/3) and Hunter Mahan did the same with Ian Poulter (4/3).

After the first two rounds, only one Spaniard still had a shot at the title, Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño. Once Sergio Garcia and Rafael Cabrera-Bello were defeated in the second round at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain (Marana, Arizona), the Spaniard had three matches left to make history.

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño eliminated Francesco Molinari (2up) in the first round and Charles Howell III (6/5) in the second round, but lost to Webb Simpson (2up), who defeated David Lynn and Peter Hanson.
