The extraordinary Finca Cortesín, venue of three editions of the Volvo World Match Play Championships and which will host the Solheim Cup in 2023, has once again been the setting for the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit, which this year celebrates its eleventh edition and has as its grand final prize five one-week trips to Riviera Maya, Mexico, including flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf at three of the best courses in the Caribbean: PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleón Mayacoba and Playa Paraíso.
Sunny weather with a westerly wind, which was noticeable in the game, and a not excessive temperature accompanied the players who gathered at the course of the prestigious golf club directed by Francisco de Lancastre. It is worth mentioning the unanimous praise given by the participants to the superb condition of the course, especially the Bermuda greens, as well as the attention and service provided to the players by the staff of Finca Cortesin, which are an example to follow and certainly one of the best that can be found in a golf club in Spain.
After the competition and before the awards ceremony and gift raffle, the participants enjoyed an excellent cocktail. The awards ceremony was presented by Rocío Sánchez Clavijo, second in command of the golf club, who did a great job attending the players and the organization.
As far as sports results are concerned, in the first category, the first three classified were Francisco Sánchez Gárate (34 points), Álvaro Guillén Benjumea (34) and Regina Cano Urbano (33).
The top three in the second category were María Herrero Pinto (40 points), Ramón Bestue Salinas (38) and Pedro Gómez Martínez (36).
The scratch winner was Thomas Doyle, with 26 scratch points.
The special prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Carlos Abia Posadas, and those for the longest drive went to Ana María López Moya and David Carretero Castillo.

As in the previous two years, this open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf/España Golf has as a prize for the final five trips to the Caribbean by the hand of Grupo Piñero. Apart from the prizes of each competition, the first classified in each category plus the scratch winner of each tournament get a direct place to play the grand final of the circuit at the Marbella Golf Resort on October 2, with closing dinner of the circuit at the restaurant El Gamonal in Marbella and thus opt for one of the five trips to Riviera Maya for a week. The remaining places for the final game are obtained based on a ranking based on the points obtained in the tournaments played.
The trip to the Riviera Maya is scheduled for November 6-14 of this year. Two rounds will be played at the PGA Riviera Maya, one at Mayakoba (after the completion of the PGA Tour’s Mayakoba Classic) and another at Playa Paraiso.

PGA RIVIERA MAYA BAHIA PRINCIPE DESTINATION
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya (Bahia Principe Grand Tulum hotel *****) with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba, and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on October 2 at Marbella Club Golf Resort, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
