Total success with 250 participants in two days of tournament. This is how the second event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2019 Destination ‘Riviera Maya Golf Club Bahía Príncipe’ in Mexico, which was held over the weekend at the magnificent course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalhorce, which looked splendid under the sun that shone during both days of competition, can be described .
In addition to the prizes for each tournament (top brand clothing from the fairway+blue store, D.O. Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the top five finishers in each category have obtained a place in the final of the Circuit and are eligible for one of the five week-long trips to the Riviera Maya, including flight, hotel (at Riviera Maya Bahía Príncipe Resort) and golf at the Riviera Maya Golf Club, El Camaleón Mayakoba and Playa Paraíso.
The top five classified in the RC Guadalhorce in first category were, in this order, the following: Javier Alonso Martínez (40 points), Juan David Carretero Castillo (39), Álvaro González de Gor Crooke, (39), Christian Asensio Rey (38) and Javiera Sear Prieto (38).
In the second category, the five who won a place in the grand final were José Manuel Bryan Jiménez (46 points), Fernando Arcas Sanz (43), Ángel Fernández Molina (43), Carlos López Sánchez (43) and José M. Peñafiel Campos (41).
The scratch winner was Gonzalo Pérez Gómez, with 34 points. The special prize for the closest ball to the hole went to Javier Alonso Martínez, while the prizes for the longest drive for men and women went to Javier Seara Prieto and Maya Bellod Álvarez de Lorenzale
The sports party concluded with appetizers and a splendid paellada in the charming courtyard of the splendid clubhouse, which stands in what was once a stately farmhouse dating from the eighteenth century. Cerveza San Miguel was in charge of serving this drink from a tent set up in the courtyard.
The RCG Guadalhorce course, which celebrated its thirtieth anniversary last year, is characterized by its beautiful natural surroundings, free of buildings. The original layout, designed by the Finnish architect Kosti Kuronen, was redesigned by the great Malaga champion Miguel Ángel Jiménez.

ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE 2019 CIRCUIT
The Andalucía Golf Challenge Destino Riviera Maya Golf Club Bahía Príncipe Circuit began on April 10 at Golf Santander (Madrid) and concludes at La Reserva Club Sotogrande on August 24. The Grand Final will be played on September 7 at Alferini (Villa Padierna Golf Resort). The top five in each category in each tournament qualify for the Grand Final, where the five one-week all-inclusive trips to Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort, with golf at Riviera Maya Golf Club, El Camaleón Mayakoba and Playa Paraíso, will be decided. This trip will take place on October 28th.
