Edorta Rahm and Ángela Rodríguez, parents of the world number one golfer, are enjoying the Costa del Sol days after having been with their son at the Real Club Valderrama during the Estrella Damm N.A. Valderrama Masters.
Jon Rahm’s parents played a round at the prestigious Aloha Golf Club, in what is known as Marbella’s Golf Valley, accompanied by the club’s president, Rafael Fontán.
Before heading out to the emblematic golf course, Edorta, handicap 9, Angela, handicap 26, and Rafael had lunch on the sunny terrace of the club accompanied by Jon’s paternal grandmother, Miren.
As a curious fact, Edorta wore for the occasion a polo shirt with the logo of the US Open, the first major won by his son and the first US Open won by a Spaniard.
The world number one’s father commented that while he would be more than satisfied with his son having as good a season next year as he did in 2021, Jon is more ambitious and aims for even greater achievements.
Regarding the recent paternity of his youngest son, Edorta said he was very surprised by the change experienced by Jon: “He has matured a lot, and every day that passes more. I’m amazed, I hallucinate every time I see the statements he makes”.
