
Leonardo Lilja and María Parra won the Norberto Goizueta Memorial, which concluded yesterday at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina Real Club de Golf Guadalmina and which has been played in two days of 18 holes each one and individual individual Medal Play.
In the men’s category, Aloha’s Leonardo Lilja finished Saturday’s first round co-leading the standings with Siga-Sotogrande’s Calvin Greschner, who took first place, benefiting from the difference in handicap between them, both with 68 strokes.
On Sunday, however, Leonardo Lilja sealed the victory after a second round of 70 strokes for a total of 138 (-6). Calvin Greschener was finally in second place, with a final score of 74 strokes and a total of 142 (-2).
In third position was the player from Guadalmina Haiko Dana, who signed the same number of strokes and identical rounds (73 and 71 strokes, for a total of 144) as the player from Malaga and also from Guadalmina, Carlos Segura, and the Real Club’s player from Seville, Pablo Rodríguez-Tabernero.
As for the female classification, the triumph was for the Cadiz SIGA – Sotogrande, Maria Parra, who maintained the advantage already obtained on Saturday over his teammates, when he signed 69 strokes. On the second day she won with force after having signed the par of the course, for a cumulative result of 141 (-3).
On the other hand, the player from Guadalmina, Laura Gómez, also maintained the second position she obtained on Saturday, with a first round of 74 strokes and a second round of 73.
In third position was also the player from Guadalmina, Monica Ruiz, with the same number of strokes (153) as Sara Navarro, also from Malaga.
The awards ceremony was attended by Mr. Fernando Goizueta, son of Mr. Norberto Goizueta and Medal of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation. Together with him, Ángel de la Riva, President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Candelaria Flores, President of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Luis Mansilla, President of the Men’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Juan Ramón Martínez Landazábal, President of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; and Alberto Bueno, referee of the tournament, presided over the ceremony.
