Managers and greenkeepers join forces for the golf industry

The Spanish Association of Golf Managers and the Spanish Association of Greenkeepers have signed a collaboration agreement with the intention of following coherent and logical, moral and ethical principles that safeguard the integrity of both professions.

In this way, both institutions will collaborate in all possible aspects that will result in an added value to the integral management of the golf course and the improvement and recognition of managers and greenkeepers.

The AEdG, as did a few days ago the Association of Golf Professionals, will join the ProGolf Platform, promoted by the Spanish Association of Golf Managers that aims to unite the entire golf industry under a sustainable golf in all aspects with the central objective of improving the public image of golf in Spanish society. To disseminate and publish news and information in both specialized and general media about all the positive aspects that golf can bring to the Spanish society.

In this sense, it is necessary to make society and the political class aware, not only of the social, educational, healthy and beneficial values of golf, but also of the fact that Spain is a power in Golf. Both in number of golf courses and their quality, since Spain is the first golf destination in Europe and the second in the world only behind the USA, as well as in the number of players it has at international level. This platform also aims to develop and promote golf as a basic sport with the intention of increasing the number of potential golf players in Spain.

Another of the objectives is to promote training, so both associations will promote responsible training for their associates and recognized by both institutions. This is the case of the Advanced Course in Golf Course Management that the AEGG promotes and that will begin at the end of November. Being a member of the AEdG or the AEGG is a guarantee of training and behavior of professionals with this distinction.

They will also collaborate in the job market, facilitating the work of managers and greenkeepers when offering or demanding jobs in golf courses.
