Some wishes are very expensive… but if money is no object, why not indulge yourself? That’s what National Funding CEO Dave Gilbert must have thought, as he will pay $75,000 to caddy for Tiger Woods at the Hero World Challenge proam next December in the Bahamas.
The former world number one held his annual charity gala in Las Vegas over the weekend to raise funds for his TGR Foundation, which focuses on youth development and education. Among all the things on offer during the gala, one of the highlights was the opportunity to carry Woods’ bag of clubs during the proam leading up to the upcoming Hero World Challenge.
That very thing fetched considerably less, $50,000, at auction last year, but that was before Woods had donned his fifth green jacket at the Masters.
Gilbert, thanks to his generous donation of $75,000, will put Tiger’s caddie, Joe LaCava, to rest in Albany on Tuesday, December 3.
Woods returns to action tomorrow at the Memorial Tournament, his last event before the US Open at Pebble Beach.
