
The Pequecircuito de Andalucía has visited today the par 3 courses of the Escuela de Golf de Miguel Ángel Jiménez, the Escuela Pública La Cartuja and Almerimar Golf. In total, more than 240 children under 11 years have participated in the tests, which have been the last of the season, before the grand final to be held at the Real Club Pineda de Sevilla on December 5, and have been played 9 holes under individual Stroke Play Scratch mode.
Beginning with the Almeria area, the player from Playa Serena, Andres Gomez, and the federated by La Envia, Monica Carbajo, have been proclaimed champions in the Alevín Male and Female category, with 33 and 43 strokes respectively.
As for the 9-10 year-old Benjamins, players from Valle del Este and Ciudad de Linares, Marta Romero and Carlos Sánchez, won their category with 41 and 34 strokes, respectively.
Meanwhile, the also Playa Serena player, Tiphani Knight, was the winner in the Benjamin category under 8 years with 47 strokes, while the winner in the men’s classification was the federated by Ciudad de Linares, Javier Mercado.
Finally, the prize in the Special category, with 33 strokes, went to Daniel Moreno (Alborán Golf).
Moving on to the classifications in the Cartuja Public Golf School, Luis García, a member of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, was proclaimed champion in the Alevín Male category with 38 strokes, while Paula Morales was the winner in the female classification with 48 strokes.
Gonzalo Orenes and the player from Novo Sancti Petri, Silvia Barnes, were the best among the 9 and 10 year old Benjamins with 37 and 41 strokes, respectively, while among the 8 year olds, the player from Vista Hermosa, Clara Jiménez, and the federated player from the Club de Campo de Córdoba, Alejandro Concha, were the best classified with 46 and 37 strokes each.
With 32 strokes, both the local player, Rodrigo Portilla, and the federated by Costa Esuri, Laura Lopez, were the winners in the special category.
And, ending with the central area -which has welcomed more than 130 children with great success of participation- the local player, Elie Nahra and the federated by the Benahavís Golf Club, María Panal, have been proclaimed champions in the fry category with 38 and 39 strokes.
The player of Marbella Golf & Country Club, Enrique Mediato, has signed 35 strokes that have earned him the victory among the junior players of 9-10 years. With two more strokes, the player of La Cañada, Victoria Godino, has been the best in the female junior category of 9-10 years.
Among the players under 8 years of age, the victory went to the Guadalhorce federated player, Esteban Cervantes, and the player from Bavaria, María Ruiz de la Herrán, with 36 strokes each.
Finally, in the special category, Sofía Pérez (El Paraíso) and Salvador Guerrero won with 37 and 31 strokes.
The awards ceremony was attended by María Murillo, Tournament Director of the RFGA and the Director of the course, Juan Francisco Escobosa, at Almerimar Golf. At the Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf School, the ceremony was presided over by Miguel Navarro, Director of the RFGA; Fernando Jimenez, on behalf of the Miguel Angel Golf School; and Javier Nunez, also on behalf of the RFGA. Finally, at the Escuela Pública La Cartuja, Ana Garcia Gil, Sports Director of the facilities, and Miguel Míguez, member of the RFGA Children’s Committee, were present .
