The achievements of this 18 year old young man who started playing golf when he was only 2 years old with his father, a professional in this sport, are to be highlighted.
To his latest feat in 2016, winner of the 99th edition of the Puerta de Hierro National Cup held at the La Cañada club in Costa del Sol, we must add, among others, his titles of Spanish Absolute Champion and the Spanish International Under-18, which he won both as a team and as an individual.
In recognition of his exceptional career this year, the president of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation (RFGA), Ángel de la Riva, came to pay tribute to him at the RCG Guadalmina, who had some heartfelt words of praise for Ángel Hidalgo, his parents and his younger brother, also an outstanding golfer, all of whom were present.
The honoree was moved and expressed his gratitude to both the RFGA and the RCG Guadalmina for all the support and facilities they have given him and continue to give him to develop all his great golfing talent.
The managing director of the Marbella club, Ignacio del Cuvillo, appropriately praised the figure of this great figure of Spanish amateur golf, who hopefully will have a magnificent future as a professional.
