First time in LIV Golf that the victory had to be decided in playoffs for both the individual and team titles. It seemed that Fortune had turned its back on Sergio Garcia at the worst moment, on the last hole with a bogey when he was leading the tournament, but luck was in favor of the Spaniard this time and the Indian Anirban Lehiri, with the victory practically in his pocket on his last hole, missed a putt of barely half a meter and led to a playoff against Sergio, both with an overall score of 5 under par.

The Spaniard, after a round with six birdies only marred by his melodramatic final bogey, defeated Lahiri on the second hole of the playoff and achieved his fourth victory at the Real Club Valderrama and his first at the LIV Golf.
And the day was even happier for the Spanish player when in the team playoff it was his team, Fireballs GC, which finally won. In addition to the tremendous satisfaction of the victory, Sergio pocketed $4 million for his individual victory and $750,000 for his team’s victory ($3 million to be shared among the four members of the team: Sergio, Lopez-Chacarra, Ancer and Puig).
The third individual place went to Tyrrell Hatton, who was one stroke behind Sergio and Lahiri.

Jon Rahm finished tenth, with the par of the course in a round also at par, and Eugenio López-Chacarra, who started third today, had his worst day and, with +3 for an overall +1, dropped to twelfth place.
David Puig, with the burden of his +10 from the first day, closed his round with -1 (-3 on Saturday) and was 27th in the standings.

In the team standings, Fireballs won the playoff by one stroke over Crushers GC, the team captained by Bryson DeChambeau, who finished ninth in the individual standings with -1.
Valderrama, with an immaculate course as always, once again demonstrated its technical complexity in this tournament and only nine players finished under par.
