The first edition of the Eclectic Estepona Golf has been played on an excellent sunny day with little wind that has delighted the players who played two rounds on the first nine holes of the course (the second nine are being reformed in these months and will be open for play soon).
The players enjoyed a course in very good conditions and with excellent greens. Estepona Golf is undertaking a major renovation of its facilities to achieve a high quality course that competes among the most outstanding of the best golf destination in Continental Europe and is currently working on the renovation of the irrigation system of the second nine holes to ensure efficient irrigation and maximum sustainability.
The tournament was played as a double round over the first nine holes, with the particularity that the best result of the two rounds is taken into account. This unusual but very interesting modality is known as Eclectic.
The tee-offs were simultaneous to the shot, for all the holes of the first round at 9 a.m.
The club plans to repeat the experience while the reform of the first nine holes is being undertaken at the beginning of this summer. The 2nd Eclectic Estepona Golf will be played on the second 9 holes. The event is sure to be a success again.
