
The layout of the North Course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has hosted the Interclubs Championship of Andalusia of Clubs without a Course.
A total of 23 teams took part in the event, representing clubs or entities affiliated to the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, which do not have an access code to the central handicap computer because they do not have an approved course as of December 31 of last year.
The competition was played over 18 holes under the Stroke Play Scratch modality, with the three best results of each team scoring points.
The Champion Team of the Interclub de Andalucía de Clubs sin Campo has been the team of Club de Golf San Pedro “A”, formed by José Duarte (Captain), Gonzalo Villalba, Francisco Luis Sánchez and Pedro Ortega, who have won the trophy with a total of 231 strokes.
Second place went to the Marbella Golf Club “B” team, composed of José Mª Gil (Captain), José Luis Fernández, Diego Lozano and Salvador Gil who, with a total of 240 strokes, was the runner-up team of this Interclub de Andalucía de Clubs sin Campo.
As for the handicap classification, the first classified was the team of Club de Golf Banús “A”, formed by David Fernández, Antonio López, Pedro Sánchez (Captain) and Amador Álvarez.
The best individual lap was signed by Manuel Jesús Vilches and there were also prizes for the two participating ladies, Marta López de Alda and Ana Mª Abad.
After the sports day, the awards ceremony was attended by Ángel de la Riva Gómez, President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Marc Muller, Competition Committee Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; Manuel Martín Lara, Vocal Clubs without Courses RFGA; and Jesús Calvo, Chief Referee of the Tournament.
In his words, Angel de la Riva said he was happy with the success of this Championship, stressing that the Federation is at the service of all those who form it, and hopes that next year this Interclubs will be held again with such a good reception.
