The UMA and the RFGA bet on golf course management training

The Faculty of Tourism of the University of Malagain collaboration with the Royal Andalusian Golf Federationhas opted for the development of the in Golf Course Direction and Management, with the creation of awith the creation of a postgraduate program specialized in these functions.

The course, which will begin on January 9, 2015 and end on May 30, 2015, will be equivalent to 37 credits and will cost 1,100 euros, with possible financing through the tripartite foundation. The maximum number of places available will be 25 students and the pre-registration and enrollment period will be open until January 5.

In addition to the lessons that will be taught in the classroom (from 16:00 to 20:00 hours on Fridays and from 10:00 to 14:00 hours on Saturdays), students will obtain part of the credits through online teaching and will carry out external internships in companies. The program concludes with the elaboration of an end-of-degree project, equivalent to 3 credits.

The course will be divided into five thematic modules. The first will focus on the history of golf and tourism associated with our sport. The second and third blocks will delve into the work of golf course management, respectively, while the fourth corresponds to internships in companies, and the fifth to the end-of-degree project.

For the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation it is very important to support the training of golf course staff, in order to continuously improve the quality of our service.

Along with the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Malaga and the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, collaborating with this project are Turismo Andaluz, Patronato de Turismo de la Costa del Sol, Río Real Golf & Hotel, Lauro Golf, Guadalhorce Club de Golf, Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf Academy, Aloha Golf Club, Parador Málaga Golf, La Cala Golf Hotel Spa, Máster cum Laude, Golfenred and Golfspain.
